Terms of use

Purpose

These Terms of Use define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary conditions between members and Kyungshin’s website (hereinafter, the “Website”) when members use its services.

Effect and Modification of Terms

These Terms take effect once a user registers and agrees to them, as displayed on the Website or by other means.
The Website may amend these Terms if necessary and within the limits of applicable law. Amended Terms become effective upon notice on the Website. However, material changes affecting members’ rights or obligations will be announced at least 7 days in advance.
Members who do not agree with the amended Terms may cancel their membership.

Supplementary Rules

Any matters not specified in these Terms will be governed by applicable laws, including the Telecommunications Business Act, the Framework Act on Telecommunications, and standard commercial practices.

Definitions

  • Member: A person who receives a unique ID and password after agreeing to these Terms.

  • ID (Unique Number): A combination of letters and numbers chosen by a member and approved by the Website for identification and service use.

  • Password: A personal combination of letters and numbers set by the member to protect their account.

  • Operator: A person designated by the Website to manage services and ensure smooth operation.

  • Service Suspension: A temporary stop of services under conditions determined by the Website.

Other undefined terms will follow relevant laws and Website notices.

Chapter 2. Service Use Contract

Formation of the Contract

By clicking “I agree” during registration, the user consents to these Terms.
Registration requires providing the personal information requested by the Website.

Application for Membership

Applicants must provide the following details on the registration page:

  • Name

  • ID (Unique Number)

  • Password

  • Address

  • Phone Number

  • Mobile Number

  • Email Address

  • Any additional information requested by the Website

Acceptance of Membership

The Website may deny or cancel membership if service cannot be provided for technical reasons, if false information or another person’s identity is used, if required registration fields are missing or incorrect, if the application violates social order or laws, if membership was previously revoked, or if other Website requirements are not met.

Changes to Registration

Members must promptly update their registration information through the method designated by the Website.

Chapter 3. Use of Services

Service Hours

Services are generally available 24/7 unless technical or business issues arise.
The Website may restrict service hours for maintenance or other needs, with prior notice where possible.
In unavoidable circumstances (such as system failure), services may be suspended without notice.

Information & Advertisements

The Website may provide members with information through postings, email, or other methods.
The Website may also display advertisements on service pages, through email, or SMS.
Any communication, transactions, or disputes between members and advertisers are solely between those parties, and the Website assumes no responsibility.

Deletion of Content

The Website may remove member content without prior notice if it:

  • Defames, slanders, or damages the reputation of others

  • Contains harmful, offensive, or illegal material

  • Relates to criminal activity

  • Infringes copyrights or other rights of third parties

  • Exceeds the posting period established by the Website

  • Is irrelevant to the Website’s services

  • Contains unauthorized advertising or promotional content

  • Violates applicable laws or Website policies

The Website may establish additional posting guidelines, and members must comply with them.

Copyright of Content

  • Members retain copyright of content they post but grant the Website the right to display it within the service.

  • Content cannot be used by the Website for other purposes without member consent.

  • The Website is not liable for civil or criminal claims arising from a member’s infringement of third-party rights. Members are responsible for resolving such disputes and covering related damages.

  • If a member cancels or loses membership, their posts may be deleted.

  • Content created by the Website belongs to the Website.

  • Members may not use or sell Website content for commercial purposes without permission.

Chapter 4. Cancellation and Service Restrictions

Membership Cancellation

Members may cancel their membership through the Website or other approved methods.
Cancellation requires member verification with name, ID, and password. Once confirmed, membership and the service contract are automatically terminated.

Service Restrictions

The Website may suspend or terminate a member’s access without notice if the member:

  • Violates social order or public morals

  • Engages in criminal activity

  • Uses the service to harm national or public interests

  • Steals another person’s ID or password

  • Defames or harms others

  • Registers multiple accounts under false pretenses

  • Infringes copyrights or intellectual property rights

  • Harms the service with viruses, hacking, or other disruptions

  • Violates relevant laws or Website policies

Members will generally be notified of restrictions. In urgent cases, services may be suspended immediately.
Suspended members may appeal the restriction. If the cause is resolved, the Website will restore access.

Chapter 5. Liability and Compensation

Damage Compensation

Members are responsible for any damages caused to the Website through violations of these Terms.
If third parties file complaints, claims, or lawsuits against the Website due to a member’s actions, the member must resolve the issue at their own cost. If the Website suffers damages, the member will be held liable.

Exemptions

  • The Website is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of content posted by members.

  • The Website is not liable for lost profits, data loss, or other damages members may experience while using the service.

  • The Website is not obligated to intervene in disputes between members or between members and third parties.

  • Members are responsible for any issues arising from their own actions, including misuse of accounts.

  • The Website is exempt from liability for service interruptions caused by natural disasters, force majeure, or other uncontrollable circumstances.

Jurisdiction

The Website and members will first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussions.
If unresolved, disputes will be handled in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act in the appropriate court of jurisdiction.

Addendum: These Terms of Use became effective on August 20, 2015.
